Here is another photo from the old Macsian magazine of ChuaCC with some of his scouts and if any of you have any idea od where about of some of the scouts, please inform them of this blog. Send in old photos and we’ll post them in this blog. Thanks.

Over the last few months, as this ChuaCC blog evolved into what it is today, there have been many hands behind the job, as mentioned before. Our Chairman, Bien, right from the start, has been always willing to put in his time, effort and support, in what ever way. Tedin Ng, not new to many, especially the classes 71 to 75, but  whom I have just got to know better since this project, has also shown great enthusiasm not only of this ChuaCC Fund but of other MACS matters, primary and secondary, past and present.

This  is to thank Tedin, and all the others,  for bringing the many old ACS boys together, old and new, during the recent annual dinner. Tedin was the initiator of our day trip and  he offered to drive Bien, myself and Andelko in his car and we got back to KL at 3am. We all had an interesting and fun trip, meeting many new faces.

Update: The amount collected for the artprints has increased from RM2,000.00 to RM2,500.00 thanks to WK who contributed an additional RM500.00. Thanks again, WK!
Dear friends,
The MACS Reunion Dinner was a great success! If there was any area lacking it is perhaps only in the scale, a modest 50 pax compared to the 100+ attendance we were used to in the past. However it was a more intimate crowd with current MACS HM and teachers attending as guests along with our evergreen SML, CSL, and senior MACSians Bien and Victor. Where achievement of the objectives of holding the dinner is concerned, I give WK & Co top marks. It provided the opportunity for the teachers and MACSIAN74 members to meet and unwind before the staging of their imagineering projects slated for this coming Saturday. Eleven schools in the vicinity are confirmed taking part and it is hoped that the publicity generated will do the school image much good. The teachers got to know us MACSians of today better, both “live” and through a short presentation of memorable slides, featuring the life-long dedication of Mr Chua Cheng Chye to the schoolkids, scouts, BB and MYF. how he has touched our lives and through his passing was able to create new friendships amongst MACSians of wide ranging age difference.

Tedin giving his presentation on MACSians Past & Present and the role of Chua Cheng Chye in shaping our lives.
Special thanks to Ho Chee Shen, Woon Tai Hai and Goh Hock Guan who generously underwrote the entire costs of the dinner. The hat was passed around for those wanting to contribute towards the ACSmalacca71-75, MACSIAN74 and the CCC Funds. I am very pleased to inform that from the collection, RM850 was allocated to the CCC Fund. Also special thanks to Victor whose eight antique prints of his Malacca House watercolours were quickly grabbed up. Thank you guys!

An update here for you.
The 8 art prints donated by Victor have fetched a total of RM2,000.00. Thanks again to Victor for those very impressive art-prints and also thanks to the lucky buyers.

In case you missed my earlier post, the CCC Fund also received an allocation of RM850 from collections during the Reunion dinner. Our thanks again to WK and his MACSIAN74 and ACSmalacca71-75 fellow organisers.
Have a great weekend!
Cheers!

Tedin
