ACS Malacca centenary

acs09-2

The ACS hall that every one of us must have walked pass so many times during our schooling days but visiting it again after more then 40 years it still looks the same but it feels different, at least not to have to do our exams in there anymore, was a sense of relief and a pleasure of seeing

The ACS Malacca was established in 1910 and next year the school will be 100 and there are plans for its celebrations. The present Head Master Mr Lee Bun Chuan would like to invite all old ACS boys to take part in the project.

Please contact Mr Lee Bun Chuan at hp 012 3950349 or chuan56@gmail.com.

He needs as many old boys to join in as possible to make it a success. Let’s do what we can. In many ways in will also trigger memories of ChuaCC who helped many of us to get there and through schooling.

Dear friends,
Through discussion of the suggestions, views and points previously raised and consultation between Bien, Victor, Ray Ong and myself, we have made a decision to take the following measures for this year:-
1.  To allocate RM500.00 as bursary awards beginning 2009, to the Top (RM250.00) , Ist Runner-up (RM150.00) and 2nd Runner-up (RM100.00) Pupils of SK Methodist (ACS). The criteria would include academic and extra-curricular performance with priority on active involvement in a uniformed group to reflect Mr Chua Cheng Chye’s passion in this respect. We will tune-up on this later.
2.  To deposit the bulk of the money collected into fixed deposit accounts with a local bank.
3.  To explore and consider how we may appropriately aid The Boy’s Brigade and the ACS Scouts Movement in the name of CCC.
4.  To explore and consider any other appropriate projects in respect of both the primary and secondary ACS of  to be undertaken in CCC’s name.
As your committee, we always welcome and will consider all and any suggestions and criticisms alike. We look forward to your responses.
Thank you.
Cheers!
Tedin
